W ostatnią niedzielę listopada w programie Dzień Dobry TVN wyemitowano reportaż poświęcony Gmachowi Głównemu Politechniki Warszawskiej – jednemu z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych budynków akademickich w Polsce.
Materiał telewizyjny przybliżył widzom zarówno reprezentacyjne wnętrza, jak i mniej dostępne zakamarki gmachu, ukazując jego bogatą historię i wyjątkową architekturę. W reportażu udział wzięli: Rektor Politechniki Warszawskiej, Kanclerz PW oraz Dyrektor Muzeum PW, którzy opowiedzieli o znaczeniu Gmachu Głównego dla społeczności akademickiej oraz o jego roli jako symbolu tradycji i ciągłości Uczelni.

Monumentalna fasada, przestronna aula ze szklanym świetlikiem, arkadowe krużganki oraz detale konstrukcyjne charakterystyczne dla epoki to elementy, które od lat zachwycają studentów, pracowników i gości Uczelni. W materiale telewizyjnym ekipa Dzień Dobry TVN odwiedziła również podziemia Gmachu Głównego, rzadko dostępne dla zwiedzających. To miejsca, które wciąż kryją liczne ślady minionych dekad – od konstrukcji dawnych instalacji po fragmenty przestrzeni służących społeczności akademickiej w trudnych okresach XX wieku.
On the last Sunday of November, the morning show Dzień Dobry TVN aired a report dedicated to the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology – one of the most recognizable academic landmarks in Poland. The television segment presented both the representative interiors and the less accessible corners of the building, revealing its rich history and exceptional architecture. The report featured the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology, the Chancellor, and the Director of the WUT Museum, who spoke about the significance of the Main Building for the academic community and its role as a symbol of the University’s tradition and continuity.
The report highlights the uniqueness of the structure designed at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries by Stefan Szyller – an outstanding architect and creator of many notable buildings in Warsaw. The monumental façade, the spacious hall with its glass skylight, the arcaded galleries, and the construction details characteristic of the era have impressed students, staff, and visitors for generations. In the broadcast, the Dzień Dobry TVN crew also explored the underground areas of the Main Building, which are rarely accessible to the public. These spaces still contain many traces of past decades—from elements of early technical installations to remnants of rooms used by the academic community during the challenging periods of the 20th century.
